Squash: Egypt's Ashour reaches Allam British Open quarters

Egyptian player Rami Ashour secured a place in Allam British Open quarters after claiming an easy 3-0 win over Diego Elias of Peru on Thursday.

Ashour joined compatriots Mohamed ElShorbagy, Ali Farag and Tarek Moemen who have sealed all a place in the tournament's quarters on Wednesday.  

Egypt are set to introduce another player in the quarters with Mohamed Abouelghar will take on Karim Abdeawad in an Egyptian face-off later on Thursday.

Friday's quarters will see an Egyptian face-off when defending champion Mohamed ElShorbagy takes on Ali Farag, while Tarek Moemen will face experienced English player Nick Matthew.

In the woman's competition Egyptian's defending champion Nour El-Sherbini will face Emily Whitlock while Raneem El Welily will have a tough mission against Laura Massaro in the tournament's quarters on Friday.
