Squash: Egypt's El Sherbini reaches World Championship quarters, El-Shorbagy brothers set All-Egyptian test in Gouna

Defending champion Nour El Sherbini reached the quarterfinals of the World Championship in the Red Sea resort of El Gouna after beating world number 16 Tesni Evans of Wales 3-0 on Sunday.

El Sherbini strolled to a 3-0 win (13/11, 11/4, 11,4) to advance in the prestigious tournament.

In the next round, El Sherbini will face Engalnd's Sarah-Jane Perry, who reached the quarters after beating compatriot Victoria Lust 3-1.

Also on Sunday, world number 4 Nouran Gohar defeated her compatriot Nour El Tayeb 3-0 to qualify for the quarters where she will meet World number six Nicol David of Malaysia.

In the men's El Gouna International tournament, world number six Marawan El-Shorbagy reached the quarterfinal  earlier on Sunday after beating Australia's Cameron Pilley 3-0.

Later at the same day, World number one Mohamed El-Shorbagy defeated countryman Mohamed Abouelghar to reach the quarterfinals. He will meet his brother Marawan in the next round on Tuesday.
