Egypt conceded a heavy defeat at the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2017 on Sunday after losing 88-50 against Lithuania in their second Group B game.

Lithuania, the runners up of the FIBA 2016 European U18 championship, dominated the game since the early start; ending the first half with a 55-21 victory before extending their lead after the break.

The Pharaohs made a fine start to their campaign by beating Puerto Rico in the opening day on Saturday

The hosts are now third of the group with 3 points.

Egypt, the first African country to host the FIBA U19 World Cup, is due to play Germany, who beat Puerto Rico earlier in the day, on Tuesday.

The Egyptians are making their fourth U19 World Cup appearance in the last five editions.
