Top seeded Egypt defeated defending champions England on Sunday to clinch their fourth WSF Men’s World Team Squash Championship title.

It only took Egypt's and world No.4 Karim Abdel Gawad 34 minutes to beat Nick Matthew 3-0 (11-9, 11-3, 11-7) in the final's first match. World No.3 Ali Farag defeated James Willstrop 3-0 (11-5, 11-9, 11-5) in 35 minutes, ensuring a win for Egypt even before world No.5 Marwan Elshorbagy played the final match.

Egypt and England, who met in the World Team Squash Championship final for the third time in a row, have not lost a single match since the tournament got underway on 27 November in Marseille.

In Saturday's semi final, Egypt defeated Hong Kong 2-0 as Marwan Elshorbagy and Karim Abdel Gawad defeated Tsz Fung Yip and Max Lee 3-1 and 3-2 respectively.

The second seeded and five-times champions England reached the final after beating arch-rivals Australia 3-0 in the semis.

Egypt made a strong start to the World Championship, beating Pakistan and Switzerland with the same 3-0 score in the preliminary round (Pool matches).

In the round of 16, Egypt eased past Finland 3-0, thanks to a superb performance from Ali Farag, Karim Abdel Gawad and Marwan Elshorbagy.

In the quarter final, Egypt's world No.17 Ramy Ashour, Gawad and Elshorbagy shined to defeat Scotland 3-0.
