Egypt's U-17 team realized a historic win in the ongoing African Championship after thrashing Mauritania 92-16 in Morocco on Thursday.

Thursday's win is the fourth of the Egyptian team who started their African campaign with a 30-17 win over Nigeria, before overcoming hosts Morocco 32-17.

They maintained their winning rhythm in the African tournament on Wednesday when they defeated Algeria 35-24

Egypt U-20 team won the African Youth Championship that took place last week in Morocco.

Following on from this African title, the Egyptian team will represent Africa in the next years' Youth Championship set to take place in Spain.
