Weightlifting: Egypt's Sara Samir wins three medals at World Championship

Egyptian weightlifter Sara Samir added three medals for Egypt after winning two silvers and one bronze in the Women's 71 category at the World Championship in Turkmenistan on Tuesday.

Samir won the silver medal in the clean and jerk with 141 kg, 11 kg behind Zhang Wangli of China who won the gold medal.

She also lifted 111 kg in the snatch to collect a total of 252 kg, which allowed her to win the silver medal with 15 kg less than the Chinese weightlifter.

The 20-year-old won the bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

On Monday, Egyptian weightlifter Mohamed Ihab won three medals (1 gold, 1 silver and one bronze) in the men's 81 category.
