Egyptian squash player Karim Darwish was surprised by a 3-0 loss against Frenchman Gregory Gaultier in the 2012 Case Swedish Open final.
The former world number one, Gaultier, finished the second easily by winning with results (11-3, 11-6, 11-8) claiming the $70,000 prize.
On his path towards the trophy, Gaultier smashed all his opponents: Saurav Ghosal from India, Tom Richards and Peter Barker from England with the same results 3-0.
The 31-year-old, Darwish, booked his place in the final after beating Henrik Mustonen of Finland 3-0 in the first round before he eliminated Switzerland’s Nicolas Mueller and Englishman Daryl Selby 3-1.
