Egyptian swimmer Farida Osman failed to qualify for the women 100m freestyle semi finals at the 2019 world championships in Gwangju after finishing 28th in the overall heats ranking on Thursday.
Osman came first in her heat 6 timing 54.93 seconds but that wasn't enough to get her through.
Osman will compete in two more events that are her main specialties the 50m freestyle and 50m butterfly.
On Sunday, the 24-year old Osman made her first appearance at the prestigious tournament; ranking 17th in the heats of the women's 100m butterfly in 58.43 seconds.
Osman won Best Female Athlete from Africa at the ANOC Awards 2017 in Prague, a few months after she made national history by winning Egypt's first-ever medal at the World Championships in Budapest.
