Volleyball: Egypt dealt fourth World Cup defeat after loss to Italy

After conceding the fourth in the tournament to Italy, Egypt now lies in 8th place with 7 points

Egypt volleyball team lost against Italy 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-22) in the sixth round of the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup, which is held in Japan from 1-15 October.

With their poorest performance so far in the tournament, Egypt dropped to 8th place with 7 points.

Egypt's will play second placed Poland on Thursday.

The Pharaohs had won their first two  matches, against Australia and Iran, before losing three consecutive games to Brazil, Canada, and Russia.

The Volleyball World Cup includes 12 teams - Japan, Egypt, Italy, Russia, Poland, Iran, Australia, Tunisia, USA, Canada, Brazil, and Argentina.
