Egypt continued their fine run at the Africa Cup of Nations as they reached the semi-finals after defeating Angola 33-26 in the final day of the main round on Wednesday.

The Pharaohs, who qualified for the main round after leading Group A with maximum six points, thrashed Gabon 36-17 on Monday.

They will face the losers of the game between hosts Tunisia and Algeria in the semis on Friday.

The six times African champions are looking to regain the African title that they lost in 2018 when Tunisia won their tenth trophy in Gabon.

The winner will get an automatic ticket for the 2020 Tokyo Games, while the runners-up will enter the world play-offs to win a seat at the Olympics.
