Ramy Ashour reached his second El Gouna final on Thursday after beating Englishman Nick Matthew 3-1 in El Gouna international Squash Open semi-final.
The Egyptian former world champion won easily the first game 11/4, struggled in the second 9/11 before earning hard-fought victories in the rest of the games 11/8 and 11/9.
Top seed James Willstrop, surprisingly eased past world number four Karim Darwish from Egypt in straight games 11/7, 11/5 and 11/2. This semi-final was unfortunately interrupted after one point of the second game due to slippy floor conditions on the glass court.
The players were slipping a lot and decided it would be dangerous to continue. The match was resumed on the traditional court at the Movenpick.
Willstrop will play Ashour in the final on Friday.
