Paralympic weightlifters Sherif Othman and Rehab Radwan have brought Egypt its first two medals at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020, with each earning a silver.
Othman earned the first medal after clinching the silver in the 59 kg competitions after lifting 187 kg to win his first sliver medal ever and his fourth medal in the Paralympic Games.
The Egyptian champion has clinched three consecutive gold medals in Beijing 2008, London 2012, and Rio 2016.
Rehab Radwan won Egypt’s second medal at Tokyo after lifting 120 kg in the women’s 50 kg competitions, then failed to lift 121 kg to win the second place and the silver medal.
This is Radwan's second Paralympic Games medal after her silver medal at Rio 2016.
