Handball: Ahly win African Cup for fourth time

After achieving their African mission, Ahly will face Zamalek in the African Super Cup on Friday 10 September in Cairo

Ahly claimed their fourth African Cup Winners' Cup title after defeating Moroccan side Wydad Samara 29-24 in the final that took place in Morocco on Thursday.

The Red Devils produced a strong performance throughout the game ending the first half with a slim lead 12-10.

They continued their convincing performance  in the second half to win the game 29-24.

This title is the fourth for Ahly after 2013, 2017 and 2018.

After achieving their African mission, Ahly will face Zamalek in the African Super Cup on Friday 10 September in Cairo.

Ahly will participate in the Super Cup after the withdrawal of Tunisian giants Etoile du Sahel, winner of the 2020 edition of the African Cup.

The winner of the Super Cup will represent the continent in the Super Globe set to be played in Qatar next month.
