Hamza was eliminated from the recently concluded Tokyo Olympic Games after losing 16-12 against 2019 world champion Natalia Vorobieva of Russia in the Round of 16 of the Women’s Freestyle 76kg event.

After he defeat in the Tokyo Olympic Games, Hamza announced her retirement from wrestling, however, she then decided not to end her career just yet; choosing to participate in the World Championship with a vengeance.
