Handball: Zamalek smash Saudi Al-Wehda to finish fifth in Super Globe

Egypt's Zamalek bounced back to claim the fifth place in the Super Globe after beating Saudi outfit Al-Wehda 42-22 on Saturday.


The Cairo giants dominated their foes from the start of the game, managing to secure a five goal lead before giving up the first goal in the 8th minute.

Zamalek's players went to the locker room at the half with a 19-10 lead over Al-Wehda, finishing the game with 42-22 victory over the Saudi side.

Zamalek started their mission in the Super Globe by losing 36-32 to reigning champions Barcelone before beating Sydney Uni 38-18 in a placement 5-10 match.

The Whites recorded their best appearance in the Super Globe in the 2010 edition when they finished third in the ranking.
