The 24-year-old came first in the snatch after lifting 113kg and the clean and jerk with 148kg to collect a total of 261kg.
Samir also topped the table after beating Mratha Rogers from the US who won the silver medal after lifting 109kg, 138kg, and 247kg.
The bronze medal went to South Korean weightlifter Kim Su-hyeon, who lifted 108kg, 137kg, and 245kg.
Samir’s previously won the bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and the silver medal at the 2018 World Championships.
