The Egyptian national team lost 25-30 to defending champions Denmark in the final day of the main round on Tuesday in a game that saw a poor performance from the Egyptian side who finished second in the Group with eight points just one point behind leaders Denmark.
They set-up a date with hosts Sweden in the quarters on Wednesday.
“Not how we wanted to finish the main round,” Parrondo said on his Instagram account on Tuesday.
“But all energy up. For the quarter-finals.”
The Pharaohs are looking to reach the semi-final for the first time since 2001, when they finished fourth in France.
