Germany ended the first half with a comfortable lead of 17-14.

They were even able to widen the gap to seven goals throughout the second half but the Pharaohs upped their game in the final quarter to end the 60 minutes on a draw 30-30

The contest remained tied after the first extra time 33-33 but Germany were finally able to grab the victory with a last shot.
The Pharaohs will face Hungary on Saturday in the 7/8 placement game.
