The Red Devils defeated USA's Ignite with a score of 82-76 on the opening day of the prestigious tournament in Singapore on Thursday.

Ignite started the game strong and led 21-20 at the end of the first quarter.

However, the Egyptian team bounced back in the second quarter and managed to take a 45-43 lead at halftime.

Ahly, guided by Spanish coach Augusti Julbe, maintained their supremacy in the third 62-59 before ending the game with a comfortable six-point lead.

The Singapore Sports Hub has been chosen as the venue for the 33rd edition of the event, which is taking place from September 21 to 24.

They will face Sesi Franca, a two-time FIBA Intercontinental Cup runner-up, on Friday.
