Former boxing champion Isidro Perez
Mexican boxing champion Isidro Perez, who had been missing since September, has been found dead at a hospital in Mexico City.
“We were informed that former flyweight world champion, Mexican Isidro Perez, has passed away. This information was provided by his sister Reyna Perez Jimenez, who said the former champion was found at the Forensic Medical Service in Mexico City,” the World Boxing Council (WBC) said on Wednesday.
Perez, born on 24 May 1964 in Puerto Marquez, Guerrero, Mexico, held the flyweight title three times between 1990 and 1992 before retiring in 1997.
