According to the Embassy of Denmark, the royal visit highlights both nations’ shared commitment to cultural collaboration, heritage preservation, and the strengthening of bilateral relations.

Queen Mary, known for her active role in cultural diplomacy and social advocacy, has long championed initiatives promoting cross-cultural understanding and humanitarian engagement, the embassy said.

“We are honoured to join Egypt in celebrating the inauguration of this extraordinary cultural landmark,” said the Danish Ambassador to Egypt Lars Bo Møller.

“Denmark looks forward to deepening our cultural bonds, exploring new opportunities for cooperation in heritage conservation, and sharing this historic moment with future generations," added the ambassador.

The visit also reflects the growing partnership between Egypt and Denmark, following President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi’s historic visit to Copenhagen in December 2024, during which the two countries signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement.

The accord laid the foundation for closer cooperation in political, economic, cultural, and green transition fields, emphasizing a shared vision for sustainable development and innovation.
