The union, chaired by Egyptian media figure Amr El-Leithy, said its affiliated news cloud platform will handle signal distribution to member broadcasters and other media outlets wishing to air the ceremony, in coordination with United Media Services.
The step comes as part of an expanded media collaboration to deliver full coverage of the event to the widest possible audience.
The GEM brings together Egypt’s ancient treasures in the largest archaeological exhibition ever assembled, with one of its most iconic displays—the Black Guardian statue of King Tutankhamun—set to be officially unveiled to the public starting Tuesday following the opening ceremony, the OIC Broadcasting Union announced.
