Burkina Faso staged an incredible comeback, scoring twice in injury time to secure a dramatic 3-2 victory over Equatorial Guinea in the opening match of Group E at the Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday.
Equatorial Guinea's Marvin Anieboh put his side ahead in the 85th minute, and The Nzalang Nacional appeared to be on course for the win. However, Burkina Faso had other plans, with Georgi Minoungou equalizing in the 90th minute +5, before Edmond Tapsoba delivered the winner in the 90th minute +8, completing an unforgettable turnaround.
Burkina Faso will face a tough challenge against Algeria on Sunday, while Equatorial Guinea will meet Sudan on the same day.
