Wednesday 28 February, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials of the newly-appointed Egyptian Ambassador Adel Ibrahim Ahmed Ibrahim in a cordially welcoming event in the Azerbaijani capital Baku.

Ibrahim met with Aliyev and discussed diversified matters agreeing both on the importance of maintaining close cooperation within international organizations between the two countries.

Aliyev added that he is confident that Ibrahim will spare no efforts contributing to developing strong intercultural and friendly diplomatic relationships between Egypt and Azerbaijan during his tenure. Noting that Azerbaijan is a very beautiful country, Ibrahim said that he feels himself at home. He stressed that Egyptians have sincere attitude towards Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani people.
