On Sunday 4 March, fifty observers under the supervision of Executive Director of the Egyptian Society for the Protection of Nature and Wild Birds Noor Noor, made a tour on non-polluting sailing boats to monitor the arrival season of the wild birds coming from different African, Asian and European countries.

The variety of bird species were observed, among them the wild Anas crecca, Ceryle rudis, Phalacrocorax carbo, Aquila nipalensis and the Porphyrio bird .

The tour, which lasted for about four hours, started from the sailboat anchor in the Nile Corniche in Maadi to the islands surrounding Al-Dahab Island and Maadi Island.
