Al-Ahram's International Politics magazine has signed a protocol of cooperation with the Ministry of Environment aimed at highlighting key environmental and energy issues through joint activities.

The agreement, signed last week, ensures the publication of a regular specialized supplement in the publication dealing with various environmental challenges and the issues of new and renewable energy, on the local, regional and international levels.

The supplement will be published on a regular basis, starting in July 2018 with issue number 213.

In addition, the agreement will see the magazine and the ministry cooperating on several joint scientific events, aiming to highlight challenging issues.

The ministry was represented at the signing by media relations officials Nahla Al-Naqib and Dr. Wael Reda, along with Mohamed Shehab, executive director of the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency.

The magazine's Editor-in-chief Ahmed Nagui Qamha was present for the signing, as was Al-Ahram Weekly's Deputy Editor-in-Chief Mahmoud Bakr, who is also its main expert in environmental affairs.
