Sheikh Khalifa grants the Egyptian Ambassador in Abu Dhabi the First Class Order of Independence

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, bestowed upon Ambassador of Egypt to Abu Dhabi Wael Gad, the First Class Order of Independence. The ambassador received the prestigious award in recognition of his efforts during his tenure which contributed to the enhancement and boosting of friendly ties between the two countries.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, officially conferred the Order to Gad on Tuesday during a meeting at his office at the ministry’s headquarters.  

Sheikh Abdullah formally congratulated the ambassador and commended the role he played in strengthening the relationship between UAE and Egypt and wished him all success in his future endeavours.

The Egyptian Ambassador thanked Sheikh Khalifa, and said he appreciated his wise policy decisions and the pioneering role he is plays at regional and international levels.

He also thanked all the government entities for their support and cooperation that made his job a success, and supported the deepening of the links between the UAE and Egypt.

In this respect, Head of the Federal National Council (the Parliament) Amal Al-Qubaisi praised the distinguished bilateral relations between Egypt and the UAE.

During her meeting with Ambassador Gad at the council’s headquarters, she stressed that Egypt is gaining exceptional importance resulting from the special relations between the two countries. This is a relation that goes back in history to even before the establishment of the UAE's glorious federation by Sheikh Zayed, who reserved for Egypt and its people a special place in his heart that reflects his recognition of Egypt’s strategic value and status.

For his part, the Egyptian ambassador praised the role of the Federal National Council in enhancing relations between the two countries, particularly in the field of parliamentary diplomacy, and the progress achieved by the UAE in enabling citizens to contribute to comprehensive development processes.
