The ambassador highlighted that inter-governmental relations between the two countries are at their best, citing the exchange of high-level visits and the communication between the leadership in both countries. He made special reference to President Moon’s visit to Egypt in January 2022 and the telephone conversation between the new President of South Korea, President Yoon, and his Egyptian counterpart in October 2022.

But he said that "we need the support from the people of both countries to make these excellent relations more sustainable".

In this context, he focused on the importance of  public diplomacy and shared the embassy's public diplomacy activities which aim to enhance the mutual understanding between South Korea and Egypt.

Finally, he stressed that there is still a way to go and hoped that the new diplomatic attaches will play a crucial role in further improving bilateral relations.
