Pakistani ambassador to Egypt Sajid Bilal, embassy’s press attaché Mohamed Faisal, members of the diplomatic corps, and the Pakistani community in Egypt attended the evening.
Students from Pakistan International School Cairo and Al-Azhar University generated a spiritual atmosphere highlighting the spirit of Ramadan through their diverse, colourful, and culturally rich performances in front of a big audience.
The evening’s programme included Pakistani religious chanting such as the Borda Al-Sharifa of Imam Al-Busairi, praise of the prophet Muhammad, and the art of qawwali, which has its roots in Pakistan.
Moreover, they chanted the Names of Allah, in addition to The Mustafa Has Come to Us with Mercy, Madad Ya Allah, Naat Shareef, and Tu Kuja Man Kuja in the Urdu language.
The evening also included a video presentation of Pakistani customs and traditions in Ramadan and the country's most famous and traditional food.
The embassy of Pakistan participates in Ramadan Nights every year.
The event offers a platform for showcasing the cultural and traditional environment of various countries during the holy month of Ramadan.
