He also expressed his intention to accelerate the pace of the institute’s activities to include various fields.
“I believe that our endeavors will serve as a link for many Turkish citizens to become acquainted with the historical and cultural heritage of Egypt,” he said.
This will also contribute to the prosperity of tourism between the two countries, he added.
Poyraz showed keenness to have an open dialogue with the symbols of Egyptian culture, stressing the strong desire between the two peoples to continue the path of cultural and knowledge exchange.
"We have many commonalities, and we are currently seeking a new beginning within the framework of expanding ... bridges of Turkish-Egyptian communication in all aspects of culture and arts, and together we will seek to reinforce cooperation between the two cultures," he noted.
“We continue without stopping our efforts to increase cooperation in the scientific and technological fields between the two countries by urging the largest number of Egyptian children and youth to participate in the Technovest exhibition – the largest technology exhibition in the world," Poyraz emphasized.
Furthermore, Ambassador Mutlu Şen praised the presence of many artists and representatives of Egyptian culture.
"We count on you a lot in supporting cultural relations between our two countries," he said.
In addition, Gad pointed out that the long-standing historical relations between the two countries necessitate the closeness and stability of cultural relations.
He inquired about The Bridge magazine, which the Turkish embassy in Cairo used to print a long time ago.
Moreover, film critic Salah said the magazine contributed to greater communication between the two sides during her term as the editorial board chairman.
The institute, established about 15 years ago, now has nearly 100 branches worldwide, Poyraz said, asserting that the current political support between the two countries will strongly boost their cultural relations soon.
