Ambassador of India to Egypt Ajit Gupte kicked off the Incredible India tourism campaign on Wednesday by unveiling a wrapped tour bus showcasing diverse images from around his country to make India an attractive destination for Egyptians.

The bus will be able to be seen touring popular routes in Cairo.

The Indian embassy has been active in promoting tourism to the country, last year holding a roadshow at a hotel in Tahrir Square that was attended by more than 40 tour guides from Cairo.

India provides a mix of tourism avenues like snow-clad mountains of the Himalayas, lush green evergreen forests on Western coast, grand forts and monuments in the north, and numerous temples and tombs among others.

India is also home to Bollywood, spicy food, a plethora of silks and textiles, and more than 40 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

"India has something for everyone. With direct Cairo-New Delhi and Cairo-Mumbai flights, the distance between India and Egypt has been reduced to six hours only. Further, the Indian Consulate in Zamalek is proactive in issuing tourist visas to Egyptians. Indian embassy plans to organize more events in the near future to promote Indian tourism," disclosed Ambassador Gupte.
