In Photos: Turkish ambassador calls friendlies between Egypt and Turkey national teams

Turkish Ambassador to Egypt Salih Mutlu Şen called for friendly matches between sports teams of both countries.



The ambassador made the call on Sunday on the occasion of Turkish National Youth and Sports Day and the commemoration of Ataturk.

The ambassador celebrated the day by hosting at his residence in Cairo football matches and table tennis for Turkish youth in Egypt.

Şen called for holding the friendlies at the level of national teams and clubs, pointing out that youth represent hope, and the future and sports strengthen friendship. He also said that Egypt is a country that has a bright future with its vibrant population and talented youth in sports.



The Turkish ambassador reported that Egyptian athlete Adam Aseel became the world champion in gymnastics under the Turkish flag, saying: “It is our common pride.”

For his part, Şen stated that there are currently 50 Turkish athletes participating in the athletics competitions held in Ismailia governorate.
