The event, organized by the King Sejong Institute Foundation, is held worldwide to honour King Sejong, the creator of the Korean alphabet, Hangul.
Eight finalists in speaking and 11 in writing competed in the preliminary rounds. Two winners from the speaking category and one from writing will be recognized as outstanding students and participate in the "2024 King Sejong Institute Outstanding Students Invitational Training" in Korea this October.

The top ten finalists from both categories will compete in a final competition on 7 October. The ultimate winners will be awarded the opportunity to study Korean language at a domestic university in 2025.
Nayera Mohamed and Alaa Fadl were the top two winners in the speaking category, while Nada Osama won first place in writing.
"The number of students learning Korean in Egypt is increasing yearly. I was deeply impressed by all the participants' dedication and passion today," KCC Director Oh Sung-ho said.
The KCC is planning various cultural events this year to celebrate its 10th anniversary and introduce Korean culture to the Egyptian public.
"This year, the KCC is planning various cultural events to introduce the rich Korean culture to the Egyptian public in celebration of its 10th anniversary in 2024. We ask for your continued interest and support," he added.
The centre will continue developing various programmes for Korean language education and cultural exchange, especially as it approaches the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Egypt in 2025.
