This premier event, which continued until 17 July, offered a day filled with beauty exploration, education, and hands-on experiences, where160 participants enjoyed interactive experiences while exploring current beauty trends in Korea through the 4-day workshop, led by Jiwoo Choi, a Professor at the Beauty Stylist Department, Yeonsung University.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the KCC is seeking to organize a wide range of events to help people get to know Korea's rich history, cuisine, traditional arts, and modern culture.

Operated by the King Sejong Institute Foundation, the Sejong Culture Academy covers various topics from traditional culture, including Gukak (Korean traditional music), Samulnori (Korean percussion music), and Hanji (Korean papercraft), and popular culture such as K-Pop and K-Beauty.

KCC Director Oh Sungho said, "It is meaningful to hold this event in collaboration with the Sejong Culture Academy to provide young Egyptians with a chance to explore a new feature of Korean culture." In addition, Sungho noted that Korean skincare and cosmetic products have recently become a worldwide phenomenon, revolutionizing the global beauty industry with innovative products and aesthetic trends.

He also explained that the rise of K-beauty is largely driven by the global popularity of Korean culture, known as the 'Hallyu wave', which includes K-pop, K-drama, K-cinema, and fashion. This trend led to an increase in global exports of Korean beauty products.

Similarly, the KCC director highlighted that overseas sales of Korean beauty products rose 6.4 percent to $8.5 billion in 2023 compared to a year prior. He noted that the increase marked the second-highest annual figure, following $9.2 billion in exports recorded in 2021.
