During the visit, Fidan met with President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and held numerous bilateral meetings with Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty and Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul-Gheit.

The discussions, Şen noted, contributed to advancing bilateral relations between the two countries.

Turkish investment

Şen expressed pride in the contributions of the Egyptian workforce in the Turkish investments.

“Turkish investments provide gains for Egypt, we are proud of our Egyptian workforce,” the ambassador said.

He expressed happiness with the current level of Turkish investment in Egypt, voicing his desire to increase it further in the coming period.

Speaking during a visit to the Jade Textile factory in Egypt's 10th of Ramadan City, Şen said the facility, one of Turkey's largest clothing and textile investments in Egypt, has provided jobs for employed more than 10,000 Egyptians.

Jade Textile is a leading exporter of ready-made clothing and views Egypt as a strategic production base, he added.

Şen said the factory was a prime example of Egypt's successful infrastructure development and that such investments benefited both countries.

Gaza Aid

Fidan also visited Al-Arish, inspecting aid warehouses designated for Gaza aid, as well as the port and the Egyptian Red Crescent facilities in the city.

He reviewed Turkey's efforts to support Palestine, pledging continued cooperation with Egypt in this respect.

He attributed the successful aid delivery to effective collaboration with Egyptian authorities. He also expressed Turkey's commitment to contributing to Gaza's reconstruction in cooperation with Egypt.
