Assistant FM attends farewell ceremony for 5 Latin American ambassadors in Cairo

Ambassador Sameh Abu El-Enein, Assistant Foreign Minister for American Affairs, attended the farewell ceremony for five ambassadors of South and Central American countries whose term as ambassadors of their countries in Egypt has ended.

During the ceremony, Abou El-Enein commended the ambassadors' efforts in strengthening Egypt's relations with their respective countries across various fields.

He emphasized the importance of increasing high-level visits, political consultations, and joint committees between Egypt and these countries.

The five ambassadors whose term has ended include the Ambassador of Argentina Gonzalo Urriolabeitia, the Ambassador of Cuba Manuel Javier Rubido Diaz, the Ambassador of Panama Alejandro Ivan Mendoza Gantes, the Ambassador of Peru Jose Jesus Guillermo, and the Ambassador of Guatemala Luis Raul Estevez.  

For his part, Ambassador of Guatemala Luis Raul Estevez, who serves as dean of the Latin American Diplomatic Corps, expressed gratitude to Egypt's government and people for helping the ambassadors carry out their duties successfully during their tenure.

Furthermore, Estevez highlighted Egypt's pivotal role in the Middle East, praising its efforts in maintaining global security and peace.
