Vadim Zaychikov, Director of the Russian Cultural Centres in Egypt, has paid a visit to Russian community schools in the Red Sea city of Hurghada. His tour included a stop at Nash Traditsiya (Our Tradition) School, where he met with the head of the teaching staff, Nelly Anishchenko, to discuss prospects for future cooperation.

Zaychikov also met with teachers and spoke to students about opportunities to apply for Russian government scholarships, outlining the most in-demand academic fields among young people today.

During his visit to Mir Znaniya (World of Knowledge) School—which currently serves around 450 students—he reviewed the structure of the Russian curriculum, as well as the educational, cultural, and sports activities offered to pupils.

He also held discussions with the school’s director, Kristina Babaeva, and with parents, answering their questions about academic programmes at Russian universities, emerging specializations, and opportunities for tuition-free study in Russia.

Zaychikov praised the efforts of both schools’ administrations, noting the quality of their educational programmes and strong student engagement. As part of the visit, the Federal Agency for International Cooperation presented the schools with a collection of educational books, dictionaries, and maps.
