Cosovan beauty Mejreme Hajdaraj claimed this year's Miss Elite title, in a competition that included 34 contestants from around the globe.

The list of Arab contestants at the Miss Elite pageant included 30-year-old Jihan Hadji Aiken of Morocco and 24-year-old Norma Yamin of Lebanon.

The pageant's jury panel included Lebanese Rudolf Hilal, actress Heidy Karam, in addition to the head of the Miss Elite 2023 Stefano Douaihy, actress and model Razan Maghribi, and fashion designer Farida Temraza, among others.

Yara, 25, came third runner-up in the pageant after a Romanian and Albanian contestants, respectively.

However, Yara won the title of Best Smile at the contest.

Model turned actress

Born in 1998 in Port Said, Yara started her career as a model.

Later, she played a role in a short film followed by a more recent participation in the film Money.

'With all my heart'

After the pageant, Yara shared a promotional video about tourism in Egypt through her official account on Instagram.

“Egyptian tourism has no equal in the world and Egypt always comes to the forefront, its beauty is incomparable  ... I support Egyptian tourism with all my heart,” she wrote.
