A workshop titled 'Interior Design; From Design to Execution' by Ahmed Zahran, recently nominated for Egypt's National Award for Creativity in Architecture, will be hosted at Diwan bookstore in Heliopolis starting 27 May.

Zahran has been working, professionally, for over five years in architecture and design and has his Masters in architecture from La Sapienza, the University of Rome.

The main problem that people face while renovating their homes, Zahran tells Ahram Online, is the lack of information about what they want to do! How to do it properly and how much will it cost. 

"Also some people have no relation to the career" and they do not know how to create a design and imagine what it will look like at the end.

The course aims to impart information on: how to read an architectural plan, make an accurate quantity survey of materials, selecting better materials, how to control expenses, explain your design to technicians so that they give you high quality and the right sequence for the finishing processes.
