Prominent Egyptian designer Hani El-Beheiry earned a place in the 2014 Guinness World Records when he revealed the longest bridal veil in history during the fashion show that inaugurated the Perfect Wedding Day Festival in Al Sharjah, UAE.
Weighing a whooping seven kilograms, and measuring five kilometres – beating a 3.3-km former record previously held by a Lebanese designer – Beheiry's silk tulle veil is embellished with pearl and crystal sequins.

Beheiry completed law studies before discovering his talented passion for design by sheer coincidence when he helped a relative modify a wedding gown. Deciding to pursue the matter, he then indulged in the study of arts, fashion, and language.
Highly appealing to local taste, Beheiry's heavily beaded and sequined bridal gowns have propelled him among the regional fashion scene's most celebrated names to make of him, nearly 18 years on, an Egyptian designer with unique panache.
