Although a home-cooked meal always takes first place for a Ramadan meal, our favourite Zamalak café takes a close number two.

Here are some of our fav’s, complete with pricing and menus. Remember to make a reservation (phone numbers are listed).

Every week Ahram Online will focus on a Cairo neighbourhood that has a nice café culture: Heliopolis, Maadi and Mohandessein. If you have the menus for those spots or would like to add one to this Zamalek listing, send it to artedalia.egypt[@]gmail.com.
