Egypt secures first place for 3rd time at African Cup of Culinary Arts for Young Chefs

Egypt has attained first place in the African Cup of Culinary Arts for Young Chefs in a third consecutive victory.

The competition, held as part of the 44th International Hotel Equipment and Tourist Facilities Exhibition (HACE), featured Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, and Mauritius. 

The Egyptian Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Yomna El-Bahar participated in the closing ceremony of the HACE - Hotel Expo 2024, which was held from 2 to 4 September at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre in the Fifth Settlement under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.

El-Bahar handed awards to the winning chefs, praising the Egyptian team. She also emphasized the importance of culinary tourism in promoting Egyptian culture and heritage.

El-Bahar also greeted the participating teams and noted that the ministry's sponsoring of the exhibition aligns with its strategy to diversify Egypt's tourism offerings, especially as food tourism gains global popularity.

The HACE - Hotel Expo 2024 is one of the largest exhibitions of its kind in Africa and the Middle East. It specializes in supplies, equipment, and products for the hotel and tourism sectors. The exhibition features large and emerging companies from around the world.
