Though September may technically be the beginning of fall, in Egypt it is still the hot, sunny summer, with temperatures ranging from 33 to 35 during the day.
1 Dress for the weather
Choose light, loose fitting clothes made of cotton, flax or any fabric that breaths.
2 Protect your head
Wear a hat or use an umbrella to protect your head from headaches or sunstroke.
Wear sunglasses that provide protection against UVB and UVA rays.
4 Avoid direct sun exposure
It is best to avoid direct sunlight in the peak hours between 11am and 3pm.
5 Stay hydrated
Before you go out drink lots of water, and keep a bottle with you at all times.
6 Apply sunscreen
Apply your sunscreen at least 15 minutes before going out in the sun, and reapply frequently. Infants, children and the elderly should avoid direct sun exposure from 11am to 4pm.
Enjoy your holidays.
