The World Heritage Day is held this year under the theme "Shared Cultures, Shared Heritage and Shared Responsibility."

The International Day for Monuments and Sites, also known as the World Heritage Day, is an international observance held on 18 April each year around the world with different activities, including visits to monuments and heritage sites, conferences, roundtables and newspaper articles.

Egypt will celebrate the international day in a different way this year as the country has adopted precautionary measures to fight the coronavirus.

Videos of archaeological sites as well as a virtual tour of a tomb and a new discovery have been posted on the ministry’s website and social media platforms at 2pm.
