Ahmed Ghoneim, the first CEO of the GEM Authority, outlined the updated schedule explaining that the regular opening hours in summer and Winter are daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (9:AM to 9:PM on Wednesday and Saturday), while during the month of Ramadan, the GEM will open daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Ghoneim said these changes aim to enhance visitor accessibility and accommodate various schedules, particularly during peak seasons and special occasions.

He added that in addition to the new hours, the museum will roll out a series of ticket exemptions and discounts approved by the GEM's Board of Directors during its latest session. "These measures are intended to encourage wider public engagement with the museum's exhibitions and facilities."

These developments are part of the museum's broader efforts to enhance its services, reflecting its commitment to offering an exceptional visitor experience while promoting Egypt's rich cultural heritage.

Overlooking the iconic Giza Pyramids, the GEM is the largest museum worldwide dedicated to a single civilization: ancient Egypt. It is poised to become one of the world's largest and most prominent cultural institutions.

The museum, which houses an unparalleled collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including the complete treasures of King Tutankhamun, is currently in its trial phase. A full-scale opening is anticipated soon.

The soft opening includes gardens, the hanging obelisk, the atrium, the grand staircase, and the main galleries, including 12 exhibition halls. The commercial area with various cafes and restaurants is also part of the soft opening operation.
