The 5th edition of the Hakawy International Arts Festival for Children took place in Cairo between 9 and 17 March and in Alexandria on 18 and 19 March.

Four international plays made for a line-up: Tetris from the Netherlands, the Tiger Tale from the UK, Tuiles fro France and IN'Tents from the USA.

The festival also included the exhibition that presented the artwork commenting on each of the charter of Children's Rights to Art and Culture's 18 principles.

The festival brought a creative commotion to the grounds of Hanager Arts Theatre in Cairo, with children attending the plays, participating in the workshops, interacting with the performers, mixing fun with education.
