The Greater Cairo BRT project will span three phases and comprise 48 stations, main and secondary charging stations, and fully electric, eco-friendly buses.

The first phase includes 14 stations from Alexandria Agricultural Road to the Police Academy, and work is ongoing on the second and third phases, which cover 21 and 13 stations, respectively.

The system will operate with headways of three minutes—down to 90 seconds during peak hours—offering high-quality public transport while easing traffic and reducing emissions.
