VIDEO: Rally in support of detained activist Hassan Mostafa

Demonstrators hold a rally at Egypt's Journalist Syndicate in support of Hassan Mostafa, an activist sentenced by an Alexandrian court to two years in prison

Protesters stood on the steps of the journalists syndicate in Cairo in solidarity with activist Hassan Mustafa.

The revolutionary activist was sentenced to two years in jail on charges of assaulting a staff member of the Alexandria Prosecutor's Office, an accusation which he denied.
Similar rallies in support of Mustafa took place in Alexandria and elsewhere.
Many regime critics see this as the latest attempt by the Muslim Brotherhood dominated authorities to stifle revolutionary opposition.
