Workers from the Suez canal authority and shipyard have announced that they will be joining the martyrs' families sit-in at El Arbaeen district

The sit-in staged by family members of 25 January revolution martyrs at the main square in the Suez district of El Arbaen is expected to grow in numbers on Thursday as shipyard and canal authority workers have announced that they will be participating tomorrow.

The martyrs' families' sit-in at El Arbaeen has entered its third day after the Suez criminal court ordered on Monday the release of police officers accused of killing protestors on LE10,000 bail.

Suez Canal authority workers have been staging another -- now three week long -- sit-in demanding better pay and working conditions. Steel and canal shipyard workers have also been staging strikes and sit-ins demanding material rights, including better pay and medical care.
