Ambulances transferred the dead to El-Noubareya Central Hospital and the injured to Wadi El-Natroun Central Hospital.

Authorities have launched investigations to determine the causes of the collision.

Egypt has been witnessing a steady decline in the number of road accidents due to increasing national efforts to improve the country’s road network and stricter enforcement of traffic laws.

A report issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics in November 2021 pointed out that compared to 2020 road traffic injuries have dropped by 28.9 percent and deaths by 8.9 percent.
